About Power Pilates InstructorsPower Pilates has been operating since 1989. In 1997 they established the certification programs in New York City to preserve and teach the classical technique of Joseph Pilates. The demand for quality instructors lead to an international network of training centers all of which meet Power Pilates high standards of education and commitment to excellence. They have certified over 2000 instructors at over 20 different locations worldwide. Their teacher training programs use the strong foundation of Joseph Pilates to help prospective instructors learn the specifics of a balanced workout. Instructors learn the methods of dealing with special case clients and most importantly the Power Pilates teaching tools, which provide an easy-to-follow formula for success. The classical style Power Pilates programs are based on the principle that before working the peripheral parts of the body, the core needs to be strong and stable. This is developed through their classical-systematic-integrative approach to Pilates training. |
