This policy covers the Core Chicago Pilates website, corechicagopilates.com, owned and operated by [CORE CHICAGO PILATES]. We have two studios, in Lakeview (3000 N Sheffield Ave) and Lincoln Park (2549 N Racine Ave), and this policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the website only, not information you share with us in person at the studios.
What you share with us
When you join our email list, we collect your name and email address, stored in Constant Contact, the service we use to send our emails.
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and your message, and we use it to reply to you.
What's collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site (which blog posts get read, how visitors arrive, what device they're on). It works through cookies and collects information like your IP address and browser type. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out tool.
Booking and payments
Scheduling happens through Mindbody. When you book, you create an account there, and your name, contact information, payment details, and booking history live in that system under its privacy policy. Your card details go directly to its payment processor. T We see booking and attendance information through that system because we need it to run the studios.
Health and injury information
When you're new to Core, we ask about injuries and conditions so your teachers can work with you safely. That information is used only for that purpose. We do not use it for marketing or share it with anyone.
Calls and texts
You can call or text us at 773-296-9660. We use texting to respond to your questions and scheduling requests. We do not send marketing texts, and text conversations are not stored on the website. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP.
Our email list
Every email has a visible unsubscribe link that works immediately. We don't add anyone without permission, and we never sell or rent the list.
Holly also writes Pilates Field Guide, a separate newsletter for Pilates instructors published on Substack. If you subscribe there, Substack handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Your Information
We don't sell your information. A few services help us run the website and the studios, each holding data under its own policy:
Squarespace, which hosts this site
Constant Contact, which stores our email list
Google Analytics, described above
Mindbody and its payment processor, described above
Beyond that, we would only share information if required by law (a subpoena or court order) or to protect the safety of our clients and staff.
Duration
Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months. Booking records follow Mindbody’s retention practices.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.
Your choices
You can email us at any time to ask what information we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in each email, and you can block cookies as described above.
Changes to this policy
If our tools or practices change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
